Daisy and The City: Queen Margrethe's Visit to the US, Day Four

Queen Margrethe spent her last official day in the US touring around Manhattan. She and Prince Henrik split their agenda later in the day to make twice as many visits. Queen Margrethe visited Lincoln Center in the morning and was greeted by Alan Gilbert, conductor of the New York Philharmonic. Alan's daughter Noemi met the queen with flowers.

Daisy then visited the Bikuben Academic Guest House where Danish students live during their studies in the US.

Lunch was served in the company of the Friends of the Royal Danish Ballet with a satirical interpretation of Crown Princess Mary's bridesmaids' hairdos!

After lunch was a tour of Scandinavian House which is celebrating its 100th anniversary.

Here they are at the Georg Jensen shop listening to a strange looking performance by Danish singer Oh Land.

Helena Christiansen was one of the guests.

Now Daisy returns to Denmark while Henrik heads out to California for the next couple of days.
